Youth climate Activists and defenders face intimidation, harassment, criminalization, stigmatization, and violent attacks. Most disturbing perhaps are reports that the number of victims is increasing, with the intensification of the climate crisis.
In Uganda more young climate defenders are imprisoned, threatened, forced to go into hiding or flee. Many of them lack the resources, contacts, and power to mitigate attacks to protect themselves, meaning most of the attacks go unreported.
Young climate defenders are fighting to protect everyone’s future, but they cannot and should not do this alone. We must ensure their protection and It is against this backdrop that Fridays For Future Uganda established an Activists Defenders Fund to support climate defenders in their work.

The Campus Climate Network is revitalizing the student climate movement. We are building an international coalition of student-led climate justice groups fighting to cut ties with the fossil fuel industry and its enablers. We provide students with the training, resources, and connections they need to run winning campaigns on campus and become the next generation of climate justice leaders.

We envision a sustainable world where young people are actively involved in promoting climate justice and protecting the environment.   
We work to protect the natural environment and empower young people to inspire change, promote innovations and skills that can contribute to a sustainable planet.

"Labour for a Green New Deal is a campaign group organising for a socialist vision of climate and economic justice in the UK and beyond. Our Worker-Climate Project has built links and solidarities with trade unions and their members as part of our aim to build a worker-led climate movement and achieve a just transition. We have also targeted Parliamentary politics with campaigns for the public ownership of energy, a just green recovery to COVID-19 and for a Green New Deal ahead of the 2019 UK general election."
